About Valerie
Valerie comes from 7 years of teaching experience in Singapore and is currently living and teaching Yoga in Dubai.
Her training started with Ashtanga but has evolved over to years, although still very much focused on strength and fluidity. She loves to incorporate mobility drills and the use of props into her practice.
She believes in making poses accessible to all who want to try by modifying and breaking down shapes until one is ready to attempt the posture which ultimately is the least important. In her experience, movement is her meditation as breath and presence of mind are in sync.
Valerie’s approach is that you should always allow yourself to be a beginner at something, going from effort to effortless at one’s on pace and progression. She is lighthearted and fun loving, and endeavours to make the learning environment welcoming to all and not intimidating.
