“Svadhaya” is one of the Niyamas (personal observances; righteous duty) in the practice of Yoga. “Sva” means “self”, “own”; “dhyaya” means to “reflect”, “study” or “inquire”. The practice of Yoga involves initiative independent inquiry into the Self.
